Volunteering
If walking 13 miles in the dark is just not for you, then we will need masses of volunteers. In 2011 we had over 200 volunteers and obviously with more walkers we will need lots more help. The evening has a tremendous buzz about it and this is a wonderful way to be part of our biggest individual fundraiser of the year We need for the volunteers to commit to the whole night (though actually there is a need for some help during the day and early in the night). In case you feel you couldn’t ‘keep going all night’ it may help to know that the first year’s volunteers all told us how much they enjoyed themselves and almost all of those who volunteered to do the first half shift stayed on all night anyway because they wanted to be a part of the atmosphere (plus they could smell the bacon cooking and who can walk away from that!) We will need help with Registration, stewarding, administration, refreshments, car parking and driving of support vehicles - plus dozens of other very varied jobs that will spring up on the night. volunteer application WILL BE AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD SOON
