Here are a few facts about last year's Midnight Walk!
Three generation of one family walked in memory of Nan. The male members of the family helped as volunteers on the night. In total - 16 members of the family took part!
Our youngest walker was 10 years old, our oldest was 82
One group of ladies had done little training and only planned to walk to the halfway point. However they did not want to leave as the atmosphere was so fantastic. They all completed the whole walk!
Three sisters walked in memory of their Dad, who had died in the hospice.
16 of our nurses walked - there were, however, a few who stayed behind to look after our patients!
When added all together - our ladies covered 6,550 miles on the night! |
